One of my favorite things about throwing kids parties is being able to get creative and decorate. I always aim to make the decorations colorful and as themed specific as possible. It is all about making things look as visually appealing as possible.
How do I accomplish this? SPRAY PAINT! That’s right, if I can not find items to decorate within the colors that tie into the theme, I spray paint them. I usually purchase all of my spray paints at Walmart since it’s the cheapest I’ve been able to find them and they have a lot of options to choose from.
I Spray painted these letters and attached seashells and photo book stickers to them. I also spray painted the jewelry holder and photo frames found in white at party city. Thankfully, the buckets, cupcake stand and other decor shown were already colorful and within theme when I purchased them so I did not have to spray paint them.
For this party I purchased a pack of blue plastic plates at party City and used them to place the desserts in. I spray painted the frames, cupcake tower, cake stand, based for lollipops and the tall dessert stand to match the theme. I then wrapped the foams for cake pops with ribbon that tied into the theme of the party.
For this sign in table I spray painted the letters and the frame to match the theme of the party.
This Trolls theme party was all about color and glitter. Our goal was to spread as much rainbow colors all over the decor and food as we possibly could. The cake stand and cupcake stand were spray painted and sprinkled with glitter. The frames were also spray painted. To see more on our Trolls themed party click here.
